Our Story
Claim Academy was created in 2014. Our mission is to change the lives of people at any phase in their career. We are an accredited software development bootcamp that teaches students relevant technical skills through project based learning, has an extensive alumni network and provides exceptional job support. We are constantly adapting our curriculum to meet the needs of employers so that upon graduation our students are workforce ready. Students can study a variety of full-stack development topics in as little as 12 weeks including Java, C#/.Net, Javascript, and Cybersecurity. Upon graduation students receive a certificate and transferable college credits and many find jobs by or before graduation.
Our founder, Ola Ayeni, originally relocated to St. Louis as an Arch Grant recipient for another start-up. He struggled to find local developers with the necessary skills to help work on his website and application. The lack of entry-level developers inspired Ola to shrink the discrepancy between the high demand for software engineers and the local talent available. By starting Claim Academy he brought his passion for business to focus on changing people’s lives by providing them a way to get much desired technical training.

Claim Academy adheres to the standards set forward by the Council for Integrity and Results Reporting. The Missouri Department of Education has recognized Claim Academy as one of the few approved to operate bootcamps. We are very proud of our high ratings on Course Report and on Switch Up. We have also been named as a preferred partner by the Veteran’s Business Resource Center.
